Like any modern family we lead very busy lives with commitments often pulling us in different directions. We love making the time to spend together outdoors, where the only direction we’re being pulled in is towards the water by our Newfoundland dog, Jess!
We drove down to the RSPB nature reserve at Pagham Harbour on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The discovery area is perfect for adults and kids to learn something new together. The scenery around the estuary is beautiful and the route is easy underfoot making it perfect for young families. The halfway point takes you to a gorgeous village before returning back through the nature reserve.
Before heading home, we stopped off at the beach in nearby Selsey to allow Jess dog a chance to frolic and splash in the sea and to give our son his first trip to the seaside. We were all pleasantly tired by the time we returned home and the sea air miraculously helped the baby to sleep through the night!
We’ve teamed up with iFootpath to create a smart walking guide to lead you around the walk. Simply visit the AllTrails website to print the guide, or if you want the smart experience, get the AllTrails app (available for Android or Apple devices). The App gives you the full guide in the palm of your hand and also includes a live map so you can follow your progress along the route as you walk. Say goodbye to wrong turns.
