Begin your adventure by arriving at The Leconfield Estates – a beautiful estate that’s centred around Petworth. Here you can try your hand at fly-fishing, country pursuits and fishing or if you prefer to explore the beautiful woodland, you can do that too.
After a morning of exciting activities, head to The Cricketers in Duncton for a delicious lunch overlooking its beautiful gardens. The pub prides itself on using local produce so you’re in for a treat.
After lunch, head over to Tinwood Estate to discover some of West Sussex’s finest English sparkling wine. Situated in the heart of West Sussex at the foot of the South Downs National Park, join one of their daily vineyard tours and taste the range of sparkling wines.
What’s more, you can spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing in the tranquil grounds before spending the night in one of their three luxury lodges that boast a view over the top of their vines towards the setting sun. With a fully stocked wine fridge, and a two-person jacuzzi bath, we’re sure you won’t want to leave.
After a night of luxury, we hope you’ll be feeling refreshed and re-energised, ready to experience something new.
The Goodwood Estate is a short journey from the vineyard, home to the impressive Goodwood House and renowned racecourse. You decide how the morning is spent, whether that’s a traditional tea and tour of the house, breakfast at the Aerodrome, an indulgent treatment within the Waterbeach Spa or one of the many exhilarating experiences on offer, including flying and driving!
Once you’ve enjoyed a morning at Goodwood, make your way to the Spread Eagle Hotel & Spa, a modern spa situated within one of England’s oldest coaching inns. Enjoy lunch in the conservatory or on the terrace before checking in and enjoying a selection of spa treatments.
Beneath a Scandinavian-style wooden ceiling, you can relax in a jacuzzi spa pool, the indoor heated pool and The Nest – a relaxation room to while away the hours.
Indulge in an afternoon of relaxation in this idyllic setting and spend the night in one of the hotel’s 39 delightful bedrooms.
After waking up in the hotel’s fantastic surroundings, travel to the beautiful market town of Horsham and indulge in a foodie’s haven. Home to artisan food producers like Cocoa Loco and Truffles Bakery, Horsham is a brilliant place to explore.
It also hosts a selection of fantastic events throughout the year – from its annual Food and Drink Festival in September to Enchanted Horsham in July, which is a brilliant food market of the very best handmade and seasonal food and drink.
From Horsham, make your way to one of the local breweries for a tour and tasting. Both Dark Star Brewery and Bedlam Brewery offer visits but it’s best to check times and book in advance.
After a cheeky tipple (so long as you’re not driving!) make the short journey to The Crown for lunch. This country pub in Horsted Keynes has been serving locals and visitors for more than 250 years and is very popular so be sure to book.
Finally, before heading home, make your way to High Weald Dairy which is just around the corner for one of their fantastic cheese-making courses. As well as finding out about the art of cheese-making, you’ll go home with a kilo of cheese and the knowledge to make your own at home. We think it’s the perfect new discovery to take home with you.
